Panzer Aces Vol.II
Battles Stories of German Tank Commanders of WWII
Franz Kurowski, translated by David Johnston
Stackpole publishing has rereleased Fedorowicz's best selling (and now out of print) "Panzer Aces Vol.'s 1 and 2!" These reprints are soft cover and though the content is the same, some items may have been omitted for publishing reasons. Despite the minor changes, these volumes are still amongst the most comprehensive works ever published on the various aspects of the German War Machine. We are happy to see them available again at a much lower price, making them affordable for all historians and enthusiasts!
With the same drama and excitement of the first book, Franz Kurowski relates the combat careers of six more decorated German Panzer officers. Extensively researched, these gripping accounts follow the men and their tanks across three continents into some of World War II's bloodiest engagements. They campaigned with Rommel in the deserts of North Africa, participated in the monumental tank battle at Kursk, and, maneuvering only by muzzle flashes, fought frightening small-unit contests in the dark of night. Master tacticians and gutsy leaders, these men are legends.
Size: 6 x 9", Soft cover, 432 pages, 60 excellent wartime b/w photographs.
