Während aus den Tiger-Kompanien der beiden anderen Divisionen jeweils ein eigenständiges Tiger-Bataillon gebildet wurde, blieb die Kompanie Totenkopf bis Kriegsende eine Kompanie mit ihrer Division. Es wurde ausschließlich der Tiger I verwendet, der Tiger II wurde nie ausgegeben.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eDie Totenkopf-Tiger beteiligten sich an der Rückeroberung von Charkow Anfang 1943, an der Operation Zitadelle im Juli und am Mius Ende Juli und August. Die Division zog sich Ende September hinter den Dnjepr zurück und kämpfte Ende Oktober bei Ingulez und im Januar 1944 bei Kirowograd. Ende März brach die Kompanie in Richtung Balta aus und überquerte Anfang April die Grenze nach Rumänien.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eDort blieb es bis Ende Mai 1944 und nahm neue Panzer auf. Bis Anfang Juli kämpfte es um Targul Frumos. Der Totenkopf wurde dann nach Polen verlegt, wo er Mitte Juli in der Nähe von Grodno kämpfte. Es war Teil der heftigen Schlacht östlich von Warschau und zwei seiner Tiger wurden im August 1944 sogar in den Warschauer Aufstand verwickelt, als sie auf dem Rückweg zu ihrer Einheit durch die Stadt fuhren. Anschließend wurde die Kompanie Totenkopf mit ihrer Division nach Ungarn verlegt, wo sie sich an den drei Offensiven zur Entlastung Budapests beteiligte. Anschließend zog es sich über Ungarn und Österreich zurück und verlor dabei in erbitterten Abwehrkämpfen seine restlichen Panzer. Seine Männer kämpften dann als mit Panzerfäusten bewaffnete Infanterie.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eSie ergab sich mit ihrer Division am 8. Mai 1945 den Amerikanern.
