Nuts & Bolts Volume 38 part 2 continues on with the history of the Jagdpanzer IV. This volume describes
the two versions developed by the companies VOMAG and ALKETT; both types were armed with
the 7.5 cm Pak 42 L/70, an anti-tank gun that derived from the famous gun of the Panther.
If you take into account that the series production of both versions did not commence until August1944, it is really surprising that by the end of the war (only 8 months later) 970 VOMAG and 277ALKETT vehicles with this armament were built. However, both versions had no major impact on thecourse of the war.
