In March 2017 we sadly saw the passing of author and life-long collector Michael Baldwin. Michael had one of the best collections of WW1 German combat militaria in the world. Following on in the series of the very successful Military Mode Publishing volumes covering 1914, 1915, 1916 and 1917, with the assistance of military author and former member of the Military Mode team Oliver Lock, the publishers have been able to complete the work. Oliver was one of Michael's close friends and has a wealth of experience, both in the subject matter as well as penning his own successful publications.
The book is 220 pages, hard back and full of in depth descriptions and expert photography. The book features very rare aviation artefacts, items of late war manufacture and the introduction of the world’s first mass produced sub machine gun. The book displays many helmets with the 1918 camouflage directive as well as attributed bring back souvenirs. We are very pleased to be able to publish the new book, just one week prior to the auction sale here in the UK of part 1 of Michael's Baldwins fantastic collection, contact us for more information on the sale.
