In Panzer Tracts No.3-3: Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf.J, L, M & N, Thomas Jentz and Hilary Doyle document the development and production of the final four versions of Panzerkampfwagen III.

The Panzer Tracts team has produced highly accurate 1:35 scale CAD drawings for three Ausf.J, four Ausf.L, one Ausf.M and four Ausf.N. Additionally, the various versions of basic hull and turret are shown. No less than 12 pages of 1:10 scale CAD drawings show specific components, tools and holders.

The team spent hundreds of hours travelling the world and accurately measuring surviving Panzerkampfwagen III; they then used a CAD program to draw at full 1:1 scale and printed at 1:35 or 1:10 scale to produce these as-built drawings within the tolerance allowed to the original assembly firms.

The text covers the evolution of the Ausf.J – N and their various modifications. Production statistics and allocations of chassis numbers to assembly plants help to identify vehicles in the field.
