This book covers the design, production and combat employment of two German flying boats, the Dornier Do 26 and the Blohm & Voss 138, as well as the German Catapult ships.

Included are technical drawings of all constructed variants of the two flying boats.

Covered additionally are the catapult ships that operated with the flying boats. Presented as well are other aircraft that were launched from the catapult ships; they were the Dornier Wal, the Dornier Do 18 and the Blohm & Voss Ha 139. Many of the drawings in the book make it possible to better understand the issues relating to catapult launchings from the ships. All constructed catapult ships that operated in the period 1934 – 1945 are presented.

This large format, hard cover book (size 8.5 “ x 12”) contains 480 pages, 620 black and white photographs, 5 color photographs, 162 technical drawings, 10 tables, 2 maps, 75 color drawings, and 19 unit insignia. Main text is in German and English. All the photo captions are in German, but the book comes with an 8 page English translation sheet.
