Liban, Côte d’Ivoire, Centrafrique, Afghanistan, Mali sont autant de théâtres où les forces terrestres ont été déployées dans la durée. Leurs actions ont été déterminantes lors de l’opération Serval au Mali, Sangaris en Centrafrique et Barkhane au Sahel. Mais pour pouvoir mener des opérations extérieures, l’armée de terre a besoin de s’appuyer sur un outil de préparation opérationnelle performant où les unités sont plongées au plus près de la réalité des engagements. La mise en condition avant projection est ainsi adaptée aux spécificités des missions et des théâtres. Aujourd’hui, les forces terrestres représentent plus de 50 régiments qui peuvent être engagés dans un cadre interarmes et interarmées, et ce, quel que soit le type de conflit, régulier ou asymétrique.**********For many years, land forces have had a central place in French military interventions.
