Ostfront Panzers 3 continues the theme of the previous book, focusing on German armoured vehicles in Belarus.
This 96-page book features more photographs and newsreel footage, depicting battles in various regions of Belarus during the winter of 1943-44 and their outcomes. The spring of 1944 is also partly covered, along with footage from Operation Bagration in the summer of 1944. Here, you will find over 110 photographs detailing the design of the vehicles, confirming their association with German units, and their history. Images of vehicles in German service are complemented by several photographs of various captured German AFVs. A useful addition includes colour images of combat vehicles with their tactical markings, along with a map showing the vehicles’ locations in a specific region of Belarus.
Large, clear excellent photos with well-researched captions, showing a variety of German vehicles after the retreat, some intact, some broken down, some virtually destroyed. Also includes a nice map, keyed to show where most of the photos were captured.
Excellent quality photos, printing and paper make this a good value, I'll likely get other volumes in the series.
Another excellent book with great photos of many different types of vehicles and tanks. Great for modeling ideas.
