One facet of World War Two that is frequently misunderstood or overlooked in the history books is that women in National Socialist Germany, like the male soldiers, served on nearly all fronts. Nearly half a million women marched in the wake of the Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and the SS for Germany in the Second World War. They fought, suffered and died for N. S. Germany.

In almost all fronts , women were utilized. They were employed as intelligence workers, administrative staff, in nursing and medical services, in the defense industry and in the civil service. Millions of German women lost their lives, were injured or were raped. This lavishly illustrated book is dedicated to them, as a late acknowledgment of their accomplishments and their sacrifice for a cause they sacrificed for in good faith.
